Four Dutch national terror list – Focus on News

The four Dutch have joined terrorist groups in Syria or Iraq.

The measure implies that the financial assets to be frozen of those involved. This allows for example, they no longer freely dispose of bank accounts or use credit cards, and is punishable as others provide them financial assets or economic resources.

“The freezing of funds is a powerful measure to Dutch tackle who wish to join terrorist groups, “says Koenders. “It’s good that we use this measure because these fighters wear as co-perpetrators or accomplices to the relentless violence in the region. They also represent a potential risk of return to the Dutch society. “

The Minister took the decision on the basis of Resolution 1373 of the United Nations Security Council. Those obliged to impose Netherlands restrictive measures against persons committing acts of terrorism, attempt to commit or facilitate the commission of terrorist acts.

Since December 2013, 19 people added to the national terrorist list.
