Greenpeace leaves rig by bad weather – Focus on News

After almost a week bivouac climbers have completed the action on the rig from Shell. Because of bad weather, with the risk of waves of up to 7 meters, they were abseiling and return to the Greenpeace ship Esperanza.

“I’m really speechless all statements of support and passionate reactions from all over the world, “says the American campaigner Aliyah Field. “The global movement has in recent days become even bigger.”

On April 6, he managed to get six climbers on the rig from Shell. Zoe, Miriam, Johno, Andrew, Aliyah and Jens campaigned against plans by Shell to drill this summer for oil in the Arctic.
