At several places the highway between The Hague and Arnhem was closed or were set up redirects. Possible smoothness was the cause of the accident.
Where the traffic on the A12 is over, there is between Heerenveen and Meppel still talk of delay. Steenwijk Steenwijk between North and the road is closed. And on the N14 between Leidschendam and The Hague is a diversion brought in connection with damage to the road furniture.
How this occurred is unclear.
The KNMI warns Saturday night for smoothness by remnants of snow and freezing wet sections. Therefore, it was proclaimed for a large part of the Netherlands code yellow
