The Secret Service DISS people in the vicinity of the ‘difficult’ former military Ismail Selvi approached and which had not liked. This is stated in a letter to Minister Selvi where Jeanine Hennis (Defence) offers its apologies.
Turkish Dutchman Selvi caused controversy a few years ago when he openlijk complained about discrimination in officer training at the Royal Military Academy (KMA). That was not thanked him. Eventually the Zwollenaar Selvi had to leave the course because he was not suitable as Defense for the military.
Bugged
Lawyer Sebastien Diekstra had filed a complaint on behalf of Selvi because DISS (Military Intelligence and Security Service) would have bugged him and several people would have approached his surroundings. Among them were Selvi’s company and people from the military union with whom he was in contact.
The Review Committee on the Intelligence and Security (CTIVD) investigated the complaint. Although that thinks there was enough reason to investigate, approaching people in the area of Selvi was a heavy drug. It happened approaching ,, with the apparent purpose to affect these people, ” can be read in the letter about the complaint
That has much infringed Selvi’s privacy, the committee notes.; she thinks ,, improper ”.
